  1. AmigaVGB_PPC
  2. ------------
  3. This is the first release of AmigaVGB PPC! It is a recompile with some changes of
  4. AmigaVGB (for 68k) on Aminet. Compared with AmigaVGB running on a 060, AmigaVGB PPC
  5. has a GREAT speed (even faster than a Gameboy!)..
  6.  
  7. Usage
  8. -----
  9. If you want to run a .gb-file, you must use the following syntax:
  10.  runelf AmigaVGB_CGX.elf CR=<your .gb-file here>
  11. or just double-click the PPC-icon for an ASL-Requester!
  12. If the emulator is too fast for you, make the window larger or play
  13. around with the options (enter "runelf AmigaVGB_CGX.elf ?" for help..)..

  17. Press the help-key when you are inside the emulator!

  19. Limitations/Requirements
  20. ------------------------
  21.  - only runs on PowerUP-boards ;-)
  22.  - *** you need version 45.5 or better of the ppc.library, get it ***
  23.    from ftp://ftp.phase5.de/pub/phase5/ppc
  24.  - it might need CyberGfx V3 .. don`t know whether CGX V2 or P96 works..
  25.  - you can only set the .gb-file .. other parameters can`t be set YET
  26.  - quite "slow", as pure ANSI-C without any assembler-source-code .. therefore
  27.    portable (also read VGB.doc inside Misc/ ..) An OPTIMIZED version (I won`t
  28.    do it ;-) might get _a lot more_ speed, so if this port of VGB only runs
  29.    bit faster than an original gameboy, then this is not the fault of PowerUP
  30.    or the PowerUP-software, it`s because pure ANSI-C-code is used for emulation!
  31.  - faster than any GameBoy-emulator on an 68060 .. once again (Power)Amiga rulez!
